The Rivers of Honey Cabaret Theatre or Rivers was a woman of color monthly performance that held space from 1998 - 2015. In the nearly twenty-year run, over 500 women of color graced the stage, and a team of dozens of queer women of color, mostly within the African diaspora, acted as producers, set designers, light technicians, costume designers, stage managers, altar goddesses, healers, hosts, and graphic designers. This monthly ritual was held inside of a collective theatre space - WOW Cafe Theatre, located in the theatre district of NYC
